Thomas Elward, CPP
Thomas Elward has over two decades of security leadership experience.
He regularly provides security leadership to multinational
corporations, NGO (non-governmental organizations), as well as
non-profit agencies.
Recent work includes consultative roles in the securing of the
Iraq election process in the United States and crisis management
training to multinational corporations in manufacturing and retail.
Mr. Elward is a successful, results-generating security management
professional with extensive experience directing teams, technical
personnel, and line management staffs in exceeding organizational
goals and objectives.
Particular areas of focus include security surveys, crisis management,
acquisitions, compliance, audit, risk management, investigations,
executive protection, special events and promotional security.
Mr. Elward’s experience also includes corporate downsizings/expansions,
retail processes, profit and loss responsibility, employee relations,
and communications.
Mr. Elward has presented in both the domestic and international
arena to numerous government and private sector organizations on
issues spanning from crisis management to social activism.
Mr. Elward has studied at DePaul University. He holds the CPP security
certificate (Certified Protection Professional) from ASIS International.
