Domestic Terrorism & Extremism: Implications for Security and Law Enforcement on March 28, 2011 @ 8:30-10:00 am with Dr. Pastor as the conference kick-off presenter. The conference is held at the Wyndham Hotel in Lisle, IL @ 3000 Warrenville Rd., Lisle: MSC Conference Brochure
This dynamic and cutting edge presentation portends how increased extremism will change policing and security. This will result in a new model of policing, called Public Safety Policing. It emphasizes tactical methods, surveillance technologies, and order maintenance provisions. It will lead to the continued expansion of private security in public environments performing critical public safety services, while policing agencies focus on military weaponry and tactics and intelligence gathering.
